Live Review: Rock Against Racism At Christopher’s, Lincoln

Last week saw the second annual Rock Against Racism gig in Lincoln, here’s the review I did for The Linc.

The second annual Rock Against Racism gig exceeded all expectations when it played Christopher’s in Lincoln on Sunday, April 18th. The event showcased a variety of local bands from differing genres, with the intention of raising awareness of two important causes; racism and prejudice.

The event was originally meant to held at Walkabout, but the venue changed at the last second. This didn’t affect the gig-goers however, with attendance standing at over 130 people who packed the club from start to finish.

Kicking off the gig were Lincoln punk outfit Gutshot. Having headlined the previous Rock Against Racism show, they were back to fight the cause. Powering their way through a short set of fast-paced hardcore punk songs, the crowd were warmed up and ready for more action.
